Greetings,
I am Shawyonia (Sha-wan-na). Thanks for taking the time to visit my site, learn about me, what I do and how I can help cultivate your Core Passion. As you will see on this site and through my work, my Core Passion is advocating for my clients and all things ARTS.
I am a Media and Administrative Strategist with over 20 years of experience in Public Relations. I have represented theatrical shows, individual artists, independent books and films, and numerous events. I plan events for as few as five and as many as a thousand attendees. My approach to media has had clients featured in major news outlets throughout the U.S. I pride myself on listening to learn what’s at the core of each and every project and set about making that passion erupt for the client and audience.
I am a native of Mississippi and have made my home in NYC since 2001. My southern roots can be found shining in my approach to events, making sure “style and flair” are always front and center. I hold a B.A. in Communications (Public Relations) and a minor in theater from Mississippi University for Women (muw.edu). In 2017, I completed my M.S. in Communications. When not producing and organizing my own events, I am attending a concert, reading a book, taking in a film, or transforming as a cosplayer at various events.
